CPR Update
Accredited Unit: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency. It needs urgent medical care. Someone who is unconscious and not breathing normally needs a person who can recognise, asses and preform CPR, quickly and confidently. This can help improve the chance of survival.
In the CPR & AED course you will learn skills in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines:

How to perform "Push only" CPR
-
How to apply and operate an AED
-
What to do if a person vomits/regurgitates
-
Rotation of 1 st Aiders with minimal delay of compressions
You will also learn
-
How to take accurate details to handover to emergency services
-
How to recognize and seek support for any psychological impact on yourself and others involved.
**Participants must have to physical capability to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted continual CPR on the ground**

First Aid Level One
Accredited Unit: HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (incorporates CPR)

Knowledge, skills and confidence can help save a persons life.
In the Basic Life Skills course, you will learn:

How to perform “push only” CPR

How to apply and operate an AED
-
How to administer an Autoinjector Epi-Pen for Anaphylaxis
-
How to administer Asthma medication
-
How to help someone with an Airway obstruction
-
How to help someone with non-life threatening bleeding and shock
-
What to do if someone has a chest/Abdominal injury
-
What to do if someone has a head/Spinal injury
-
How to help someone suffering from a seizure or stroke
You will also learn:
-
How to take accurate details for handover to emergency services
-
How to recognize and seek support for psychological impact to yourself and others involved
**Participants must have the physical capacity to perform continual CPR for 2 minutes on the ground**

First Aid Level Two
Accredited Unit: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (Incorporates CPR & First Aid Level 1)

Skills, Knowledge and confidence in line with Legal and community consideration and Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
This course teaches how to recognize and provide immediate and
effective First Aid treatment to any person suffering a sudden injury or illness
In this course you will learn:

How to administer Asthma medication

How to help someone with an Airway obstruction

How to help someone with non-life threatening bleeding and shock

How to bandage an injury

This is the 3-yearly update for holers of a current or recently expired First Aid Level 2 certification.
1-day update course. Included online theory component.
First Aid for Teachers & Carers
First Aid course which includes all of Level 2 plus additional information in Asthma and Anaphylaxis Mangement for people working in education or child care.
Accredited Unit: HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management
Accredited units:
22556VIC - Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace
22578VIC - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

Provides the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver blue reliever medication in an asthma attack. Addresses current best practice in anaphylaxis management, ensuring workplaces are competent to perform an allergy risk assessment of their workplace environment.
