Do you need help with reading, writing and maths? BCAL provides support in a welcoming environment.
Reading, writing and maths skills can help you to build your confidence; get more involved in your community; access services; get or keep a job (paid or voluntary); enrol in further training or complete a qualification.
Improving these skills can also help you with daily tasks such as completing forms; reading labels on medication; getting a driver’s licence or reading with your children.
Learn Local tutors can work with you on a one-to-one basis or in a small group.
Both pre-accredited and accredited training programs and courses are available in this learning area.
Certificates In General Education
Literacy and numeracy learning for people of all ages and all levels. The certificate in general education can give you an equivalent Year 10 pass. Brush up on your maths and English skills if you wish to pass an entrance exam, or a Year 6, 7, or 8 pass for those who missed out on schooling in the past and want to catch up. You will learn maths, English and computing to your required level. Classes are small, comfortable and low stress.
